The Ministry of the Eucharist at Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a special opportunity to serve the parish family through the reverent distribution of Holy Communion during Mass. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the clergy in sharing the Body and Blood of Christ with the faithful and may also help bring Communion to the sick, homebound, and those unable to attend Mass. This ministry calls individuals to deepen their love for the Eucharist while serving with compassion, prayerfulness, and respect.
