- When a loved one dies it is advised to contact the Funeral Home of your choice (Bryan Braker, Fairfield Funeral Home and / or other). The Funeral Home will contact us at the Parish Office to arrange funeral services. Please be aware that OLMC cannot confirm the Mass schedule until the Funeral Home contacts us. If you are not utilizing a funeral home, then please reach out to the Parish Office.
- All Funerals are under the domain of the Pastor. Please contact the Parish Office for information regarding the Funeral Liturgy.
- Family members requesting a priest from another Parish (i.e. priest who is a personal friend of the family) may officiate for the Funeral Mass with the approval / delegation of the Pastor. Additionally, a “Letter of Good Standing” is required for priest who are outside of the Diocese of Sacramento. (Please contact Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish Office regarding fees.)
- Rosary and / or vigil services are to take place at the funeral home
- Music for the Funeral Mass is under the direction of Mark Middleton, OLMC’s Director of Music. Other musicians may be contacted with Music Director’s approval. For music guidelines please contact Mark Middleton at (707) 688-4157 (text is preferred).
Note: Only sacred choral music is acceptable. - Fees
- Funeral Mass at OLMC: $300
- Vigil/Rosary, Committal (only): $100
- Prayer Service (Liturgy of the Word): $150
- Music (Contact Mark Middleton): $250 (Please note there is a $150 "bench fee" for outside musicians payable to Mark Middleton).
