The Ministry of the Word at Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a sacred opportunity to proclaim God’s Word and help lead the faithful into deeper reflection during the celebration of the Mass. Ministers of the Word, also known as Lectors, prayerfully prepare and proclaim the Scripture readings so that the message of Christ may be clearly heard and understood by the parish community. Through reverence, preparation, and faith, this ministry helps bring the living Word of God to life each week. Parishioners who feel called to share their voice and love for Scripture are warmly invited to serve in this important liturgical ministry.
