Welcome to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish for the celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism

The Sacrament of Baptism is the foundation of the Sacramental life of the Church. In this sacrament, we are cleansed from sin and are reborn of water and the Holy Spirit and are incorporated into the Body of Christ. (See the Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213-1284.) We live out the promises we make at our baptism by regularly practicing our faith. It is therefore important that you and the baptismal sponsor(s) pray and reflect about the raising of your child in the Catholic faith.

Pre-Baptism Class (Attendance is mandatory prior to the Baptism) Parents and the Primary Godparents are required to attend the class prior to the Baptism. Pre-baptism classes are typically offered on the 2nd Saturday of every other month from 10AM-1PM in the Church. Please refer to schedule below.

1. Registration in advance is required; applications must be submitted no later than 1 week prior to the class.
2. The Pre-Baptism class may be attended at another Catholic parish, make sure to get a certificate of class completion and submit it to the parish office. Class certificate is required one week prior to the scheduled baptism.
3. Registration and Class Fee Regular baptisms - $50 and is non-refundable.
4. Class Only - Designed for those who plan to baptize at another parish. A non-refundable $25 fee must be submitted with all pre-baptism class applications for parents or godparents.
